Valentines (close enough) update...
Was able to install the new forks (with emulators and 0.95 springs) along with the "new to me" plastic and repainted tank. Still haven't had a chance to ride due to inclement weather. Hopefully, this coming weekend will stay warm and dry to allow some riding time.
Also completed my $8.99 DIY rear fender eliminator. I sourced some brackets from a guy on svrider.com and filched the pattern from another site. Not sure what would stick well to Aluminum, I tried some plasti-kote. Seems fairly scratch resistant, but it if begins to chip, it shouldn't be too difficult to touch up or recoat.
Here's a shot of my "almost" 5 year old daughter, seeing if she's big enough to ride the motorcycle by herself, maybe in a decade or two.
